Is it normal for gums to bleed when flossing? E2E

My gums bleed a little every time I floss. It stops after a minute. Should I be worried or is this normal when starting to floss again?

A small amount of bleeding when you restart flossing is common and usually reflects mild gum inflammation, not damage from the floss. 
 Keep flossing gently once a day. In most people the bleeding settles within one to two weeks as the gums become healthier. If it continues beyond two weeks, gets worse, or you notice swelling or persistent bad breath, book a checkup: ongoing bleeding is the most common early sign of gingivitis, which is fully reversible with professional cleaning and good home care.
